What is ELDOA?

World-renowned French osteopath Guy VOYER, DO developed the ELDOA™ method after more than 35 years of working with the body’s fascial systems through the lens of biotensegrity. ELDOA (Longitudinal Osteo-Articular Decoaptation Stretching) is a series of self-applied postural exercises designed to decompress specific joints in the spine, pelvis, cranium, and peripheral structures. Each posture is highly specific and uses the fascial system to create internal tension that promotes normalization of the body from the inside out.

By organizing the fascial lines around a targeted joint, the ELDOA method creates space within the articulation. This results in improved joint mechanics, increased blood flow, disc rehydration, reduced inflammation, and greater mobility. Over time, it can lead to decreased pain, better posture, improved muscle tone, and a heightened sense of wellbeing and body awareness. The exercises are precise and most effective when taught and sequenced by a certified ELDOA Trainer.

At its core, ELDOA is a response to the chronic stress the body faces from gravity, injury, sedentary habits, and poor movement patterns. These stressors can create long-term imbalances in posture, joint function, and fluid movement throughout the system. ELDOA helps restore balance by improving space, alignment, strength, and the quality of tissue and joint mechanics—ultimately supporting the body’s ability to heal, move, and adapt with resilience.
